WomenSing’s 2014-15 season was brimming with accomplishments. There were two acclaimed concert programs and an exciting second installment of the Treble Voices Now Festival. We launched a new outreach initiative, WomenShare, which provides free concert tickets to underserved community members and middle and high school students. We were also able to hire a part-time Chorus Manager and provide scholarships to choir members so more women could participate.

Welcome to WomenSing’s 50th season, “Giving Voice to Women”! This season promises to be full of our signature blend of traditional and unexpected gems, some new, some pulled from our past. We have chosen five women to honor for their contribution in the various arts, from music to literature to architecture: Hildegard von Bingen, Julia Morgan, Maya Angelou, Alice Parker, and Julia Gárgano. We’ll celebrate with a grand gala in October, featuring soprano Karen Anderson and mezzo-soprano Jessica Deardorff Elder, accompanied by our own Paul Caccamo. We’ll be visited by some of our favorite choral artists and composers, including the legendary Alice Parker, who will participate in our Treble Voices Now festival in April.

WomenSing is expanding the audience for Bay Area choral music through a complimentary concert ticket program. We believe passionately that vibrant and beautifully blended choral music enriches, inspires, and challenges the listener. To spread the joy of music, and with the help of our generous donors and sponsors, we are proud to offer WomenShare – an initiative that makes complimentary concert tickets available to middle and high school students as well as the underserved members of our community.
