Spring Concert

Southern Exposure

In early June we will present Southern Exposure, which will juxtapose all things southern (Latin American music, Appalachian folk tunes, and Australian tribal texts) with northern hemisphere gems. As part of the centenary celebration of Benjamin Britten’s birth we will perform the Missa Brevis, one of his most accomplished masterpieces. Along with works by Francisco Nuñez and Stephen Paulus, we will perform our fifth-year Youth Inspiring Youth commission by Julia Seeholzer. In addition the chorus will perform music that we intend to present at the 9th International Choral Festival in Missoula, Montana. Come a half hour early to hear Julia Seeholzer at the pre-concert talk.
