The Marcia Hodges New Music Fund

Established with generous donations from singers and friends in honor of Marcia Hodges, accompanist for the Orinda Women’s Chorale and WomenSing for 30 years. This fund is dedicated to commissions of new treble choral music. This fund supports the activities of WomenSing’s exciting 3-year project, Youth Inspiring Youth, a collaborative effort with River of Words in which young poets and their poems connect with young composers in creating new music for treble voices.

The Carol Holley Scholarship Fund

Established with a generous donation from her children as a memorial to Carol Holley, this fund is “for the purpose of helping talented women who have limited funds with costs of music, costumes, singer fees, and workshop and retreat fees. We hope that our initial donation will be the beginning of something special for many gifted, yet financially limited, women.”

The Sally Symon Travel Fund

Established with a generous donation from Russell and Wendy Symon as a memorial to Sally Symon, wife and mother. Sally was a long-time charter member of WomenSing. These funds are especially set aside to assist singers with expenses connected with WomenSing tours and travel.

Annual Gala/Salon Concert

WomenSing stages an annual fundraiser in October, complete with food, wine, and musical performances. Guests generously participate in both a silent and live auction to raise funds for the organization. We gratefully accept donations of goods, services, live performance tickets, and more.
