Audition now for the East Bay premier women’s ensemble! Recent winners of the Chorus America/ASCAP Alice Parker Award, WomenSing’s 2010-11 season New Beginnings continues with a tour of Washington D.C. in early May, taking our Youth Inspiring Youth works to the Library of Congress and performing at the National Cathedral. Featured composer Libby Larsen’s Stepping Westward will be our concert theme in June, including authentic American folk music drawn from pioneer experiences, a set of traditional and unexpected miniature love songs, and our third-year Youth Inspiring Youth premieres, in collaboration with Acalanes and Miramonte high schools. Scholarships are available for qualified singers.

WomenSing is holding auditions on January 11, 2011, and by appointment for experienced singers. Altos are particularly encouraged to audition, but all voice parts are welcome.
